Mini Aussiedoodles
What happens if you mix the intelligence of a Mini Aussie with the intelligence of a poodle? You get Einstein dogs! Mini Aussiedoodles are a combination of an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle bred for a smaller size (sometimes called Aussiepoos). These dogs are low-shed and full of personality. Mini Aussiedoodles are extremely loyal, intelligent, playful, fun dogs!
The Aussiedoodle coat can come in a variety of colors: blue merle, red merle, black tri, red tri, phantom (black and tan), sable (black tipped hairs), parti (white base of 50% plus secondary color), or solid colors. A black dog with any brown or white (a tri) can turn a beautiful silver as it ages.
Miniature Aussiedoodle’s need to be checked for the same genetic conditions as their purebred Aussie and Poodle progenitors. We breed for Mini Aussiedoodles clear of genetic diseases. It is also important to have their DNA tested to determine the quality of their coats before breeding. If paired poorly, you’ll lose the advantages of the cross.
Australian Shepherds bred with a poodle result in F1 Aussiedoodle puppies. These puppies are low to no-shed and have a beautiful Australian Shepherd look with the poodle coat. An F1 Aussiedoodle should not be bred to another F1 Aussiedoodle unless proper coat testing determines it would be a good match (the benefits of the cross will be lost otherwise). Multi-generational Aussiedoodles result from at least 4 generations of intentional crosses to produce a puppy that is non-shedding. Go West Mini Aussies offers both F1 and Muli-generational Mini Aussiedoodles.
